Lamine comes to Arent Fox from HSBC Bank, where he held roles as a vice president of Global Sanctions Investigations and Policy & Governance. Before that, Lamine was an associate in the DC office of an international law firm, as a member of the global, white collar investigations team. Lamine also brings a wealth of government experience.
After law school, he joined the US Department of the Treasury’s Office of Foreign Assets Control as an Attorney-advisor and Sanctions Investigator. During law school, Lamine was a FOIA Analyst at the US Department of State. He received his LLM in Finance from Goethe Universität, Institute for Law & Finance, his JD from The George Washington University Law School, his Master of Arts degree in International Economic Affairs from The George Washington University Elliot School of International Affairs, where his independent study was on WTO Dispute Settlement, the US/Brazil cotton dispute (“United States – Upland Cotton Dispute”), in particular.
