Lamine comes to Arent Fox from HSBC Bank, one of the world’s largest financial institutions, where he held roles as Vice President of Global Sanctions Investigations and Policy & Governance. Before that, Lamine was an associate in the D.C. office of an international law firm, as a member of the global, white collar investigations team. Lamine also brings a wealth of government experience.
After law school, he joined the US Department of the Treasury’s Office of Foreign Assets Control as a Sanctions Investigator and later as an Attorney-Advisor. During law school, Lamine was a FOIA Analyst at the US Department of State. While at the US Department of State, Lamine also held Foreign Service internships at the US Embassy in Paris, France as well as the US Consulate in São Paulo, Brazil, working on an array of international economic issues, including work on WTO Dispute Settlement related to the US/Brazil cotton dispute
